I've been biking for close to 20 years, and I'm a pretty avid road cyclist. I did the London to Paris myeloma ride for Myeloma UK about five or six years ago. I also do the Pan-Mass Challenge, which is for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. I've done it every year for the last six years. Biking is a huge part of my life. When I'm not working or hanging out with my family, I'm probably on a bike somewhere. The farthest I've gone in a day was 120 miles, but the London to Paris ride for Myeloma UK is the longest organized event I've done. My wife and I also use a company called Backroads to plan biking trips. We did a ride in Tuscany, Italy, one year and another in the Provence region of France. When the two of us go away, we tend to build our trips around biking. She became a biker for that; the deal was that she’d bike and I would take her to Italy and France! It’s worked out pretty well for us.
